Redditor stevgoldhound works at sea for the military. Last year, his ship came into port for repairs. While the ship was being inspected, stevgoldhound noticed an old frigate that was in the dry dock next to his. It was decommissioned and being broken down for scrap metal.
According to stevgoldhound, after all the sensitive materials were taken off the ship, the dock foreman did a walk through of the ship with his camera before crews got to work. The foreman, John, probably took a few hundred photos of the frigate”s interior. All of them were ordinary except for one photo…
This long shot of a hallway deep inside the vessel. If you look closely, you can see someone (or something) looking at the camera at the end of the hallway. The figure appears to be holding some kind of ax.
When John took the picture, he didn”t notice anything strange. It was his boss who spotted the figure while he was going over the pictures. Here”s an exterior shot of the frigate in question.
Because the frigate is a military ship, the police were called. Police searched the entire ship, but found no one inside. The CCTV cameras pointed at the ship also showed nothing suspicious.
It”s almost impossible, says stevgoldhound, that whoever it was could have jumped ship because of the 80 foot drop onto solid concrete from the deck.
Here”s another picture of the mysterious figure that”s been enhanced with Photoshop. See the ax in its hand? Utterly terrifying.
What the heck is on its face?
Black and white somehow makes it scarier.
There haven”t been any updates from stevgoldhound about this mysterious figure. Let”s just hope that it was a normal person (and not a demon or evil ghost).
