Rush Limbaugh calls former Miss Universe Alicia Machado “porn star Miss Piggy”

Rush Limbaugh on Wednesday weighed in on Donald Trump’s alleged body-shaming of former Miss Universe, Alicia Machado.

The Venezuelan-born actress and businesswoman continues to feature heavily in political discourse this week after Hillary Clinton, during Monday’s presidential debate, alleged her Republican opponent — who purchased the Miss Universe pageant in 1996 — had referred to Machado as “Miss Piggy” and “Miss Housekeeping, because she was Latina.”

“Who would have believed that whether or not a former Miss Universe became a ‘Miss Piggy’ and a porn star would become such a big deal in the campaign?” the conservative radio host said. “It’s the biggest stack [of papers] I got. I’ve got stacks of stuff here and the porn star Miss Piggy, former — who’s now campaigning with Hillary. A former porn star is campaigning for Hillary against Trump.”

Rumors that Machado once featured in a porn movie stem from a Daily Caller article on Tuesday claiming: “Snippets of an adult film starring Machado are available on multiple free porn websites. Machado also appeared topless in Mexican Playboy in 2006 and 2012.”

Mic.com, an infinitely more progressive media outlet than The Daily Caller, called the “smear campaign …; likely an attempt to divert attention from Trump’s mean-spirited fat shaming against Machado.”

In 2012, Limbaugh lost a significant amount of sponsors after calling Sandra Fluke — at the time a Georgetown Law Center student who testified before the House Democratic Steering and Policy Committee in favor of a contraceptive mandate for religious institutions — a “slut” who “wants to be paid to have sex.”
