More fixes for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt coming to PC, consoles

CD Projekt RED getting set to churn out the next set of updates for their epic RPG.

There is no doubt that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is arguably the best game to release so far this year (though The Phantom Pain may have something to say about that). However, that does not preclude the fact that the game has had its share of performance issues. This shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone who has played any of the other two Witcher games, who had their fair share of bugs as well.

Fortunately, Developer CD Projekt RED has a very well deserved reputation for acknowledging errors and a history of patching their games long past their initial launch dates. Wild Hunt has followed the same path so far and Community Manager, Marcin Momot confirmed via Twitter that a couple of notable fixes are in the works.

Earlier this year, CD Projekt RED reaffirmed their commitment to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, when they stated that they would not talk about their upcoming game, Cyberpunk 2077, until 2017. In an interview with Reuters, CEO Adam Kicinski stated, “We hope and we are certain that Cyberpunk has even bigger commercial potential. It is too early to talk about it, though. This year, and the next one will be the years of the Witcher“.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt released back in May of this year on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One to widespread critical acclaim, earning an average Metacritic score of 92.3 across all platforms.
